Dr. Annie Wang

Dentist

We are delighted to introduce Dr. Annie Wang to our Cambridge dental clinic! Dr. Wang is incredibly bubbly, energetic and has the most contagious smile! Her bedside manner, patience and understanding are sure to make every patient feel at ease!

Dr. Wang provides cosmetic and restorative dentistry services including root canal treatments. Dr. Wang also offers dental sedation with nitrous oxide for patients with dental anxiety or a low pain threshold. Dr. Wang graduated from The University of Toronto with her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and is excited to return to her hometown of Kitchener Waterloo Cambridge!

In her leisure time, Dr. Wang enjoys meeting new faces on the dance floor. Waltz, Jive, and Cha Cha are her favourite dance styles.

Dr. Nayan Modi

Dentist

Dr. Modi completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Waterloo, receiving an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology. He continued to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a dentist in Hungary, where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (D.M.D.) from the University of Debrecen.

Family comes first for Dr. Modi and as such, he stayed close to home where his passion and skill for the dental profession continues to grow. Born and raised in Kitchener, Ontario, he is proud to be serving his hometown’s close neighbour, where he is always excited to meet new patients. His gentleness, and sense of humour make you feel right at home, where you are welcomed into his hospitality and care. During the course of his studies, Dr. Modi participated in various community outreach activities. He has voluntarily supported dentists in India, Hungary, Ecuador, and Costa Rica. He has connected with hundreds of patients in-need, providing dental care, while also educating participants on oral health and hygiene.

Outside of the office, Dr. Modi enjoys comedic movies, hiking, trying new cuisines, and traveling with his wife.

Linda Vuong

Denturist

Linda completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto, receiving an Honours Bachelor of Science degree (Hon.B.Sc.) in Human Biology. She then continued her education in Denturism and is now a licensed Denturist of Ontario.

Linda loves to help patients improve their smiles. Her greatest joy comes from seeing the new confident, genuine smiles on her patients’ faces. Linda believes in working with patients to create custom dentures, crafted to their personal specifications. She delivers patient care with a high level of compassion and respect to all.

In her spare time, Linda enjoys traveling, baking, and spending time with her family.

Mona Budwal

Registered Dental Hygienist

Mona is a people-person who is always happy, energetic and eager to meet new faces. Her love for children, along with her approachable and playful personality bonds very well with toddlers and young people allowing them to enjoy their best Cambridge dental experience.

Mona is skilled in treating patients with special needs and medical conditions and can provide a wide range of dental hygiene services including teeth whitening, custom dental mouth guards, gentle teeth cleaning, and polishing, and treating patients with periodontal disease. She is recognized for her great chair side manner and ability to make patients of all ages feel comfortable throughout their appointment.

Mona is an active member of the Cambridge community; involved with the Boys & Girls club organizations, Community Charity Kiosks, and a team member at Guest Services in the Cambridge Centre serving the Kitchener Waterloo Cambridge area.

Mona graduated with Honours from the University of Western Ontario and trained in Advanced Dental Hygiene at Fanshawe College, and she is a member of the Canadian Dental Hygienists Association.

Outside of the office, her hobbies include reading, music, health & fitness with excellent knowledge in nutritional counselling and living an active lifestyle.

Diane Thomas

Registered Dental Hygienist

Diane’s dream to be a dental hygienist started when she was in elementary school, and her passion for dental hygiene has continued to grow since then. She completed cooperative education while in high school and then worked in a local dental office, where she received further encouragement to pursue her career in the dental field.

Diane graduated with honours from the Dental Assisting Level I and II program at Fanshawe College in 2007, and attained her NDAEB and HARP certification. She also graduated with honours from the Dental Hygiene Program at Fanshawe College in 2011, and became registered with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario. She is a member of the Canadian Dental Hygienist’s Association (CDHA), and is also trained in First Aid and CPR through Red Cross.

Through her years of experience in the dental field, she has had the opportunity to work in multiple areas of the dental office, including the laboratory, chair-side dental assisting, and administration. Diane has made countless custom sports guards, night guards for teeth bruxism and TMJ, and whitening trays. She has worked with dental professionals during routine dental filling procedures, orthodontic procedures, including taking orthodontic records, and oral surgery with conscious sedation. Diane is able to use all this knowledge to help you receive the best possible dental care.

Her true passion remains to work with patients to improve and maintain their oral health through dental hygiene. Diane has experience with periodontal laser treatments and laser therapy to speed the healing of cold sores and canker sores. Diane enjoys working as a team to make each patient’s visit relaxing and comfortable. She is dedicated to providing quality care that is both personalized and meets the highest standards of dental practice.

Diane grew up in Cambridge, Ontario and continues to live here with her husband, where they hope to one day raise a family of their own. In Diane’s spare time, she enjoys dancing, swimming, and spending time at the cottage with family and friends.

Donna is our patient experience champion providing a valuable service for our patients and our Cambridge dentists! Donna makes it her priority to establish a personal relationship with every patient moving towards her goal of exceptional care and 100% satisfaction. Donna is approachable, caring and always willing to help. She loves to take the time to answer any dental questions and fully explain dental treatment plans to our patients.

With over 20 years of experience in the dental industry, Donna began her career as a chair side assistant. She has since managed pediatric, specialist and busy general dental offices. Her enthusiasm and positive attitude shine through as she plans fun events for our patients and the Cambridge community.

When Donna is not at the office you may find her seated on the back of her husband’s Goldwing motorcycle on a quiet tour. She also enjoys sports, crafts and reading.

Orthodontic Coordinator

Sam brings strong dental and orthodontic experience to our team together with professional enthusiasm. Her previous roles include treatment coordinator, orthodontic assistant and dental office administrator. Sam is committed to our “patient first” philosophy, making the extra effort to make each patient feel special.

Outside of the office, Sam is an accomplished dancer. She attended the University of Buffalo, NY and Los Angeles, California on a dance scholarship. She is also a huge hockey fan and loves hanging out with her two gorgeous children!

Lucie has been in the dental field for over 11 years working both as a dental assistant and receptionist. Born in the Czech Republic and moving to Canada at the age of 5, she is thrilled to now call Cambridge Ontario her home.

Lucie has a wonderful personality and an ear-to-ear smile that is incredibly contagious! She is passionate about dentistry and especially wants to make sure that every dental patient has the best, most comfortable experience when they come in.

Dr. Ryan Schure

Periodontist

Dr. Ryan S. Schure earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto. Dr. Schure completed his Master of Science degree with advanced training in periodontology and implant surgery at the University of Toronto. His research on the relationships between cardiovascular diseases and periodontal diseases has been published and presented at international meetings.

Dr. Schure continues to maintain strong affiliation to the University of Toronto as an Associate in Dentistry, where he contributes to the clinical and didactic training of undergraduate dental students. He is also involved as a lecturer with the continuing education department and as a member of the undergraduate admissions committee.

Dr. Schure lives in Toronto with his wife, Hila. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, golfing, and scuba diving. He is also an avid swimmer and is involved in the training of lifeguards as an examiner with the Lifesaving Society of Ontario.

Dr. Matt Kurrek

Associate Professor, Department of Anesthesia, University of Toronto

Dr. Kurrek (a native of Berlin, Germany), completed his anesthesia training at Harvard University in Boston before moving to Toronto, where he has been on the teaching faculty at the University of Toronto since 1994. Dr. Kurrek also provides clinical anesthesia services for children and adults in the community hospital setting, including the Scarborough Grace Hospital.

Dr. Kurrek is fluent in English, French, and German. He is married and has three children. He enjoys spending time with his family.

Dr. Ash Saffar

Dentist

Dr. Saffar graduated with honors from the University of Toronto faculty of dentistry and has been a dentist since 2002. While studying, Dr. Saffar won several awards including the prestigious George Hare Endodontic Study Club scholarship and John Earl Moser memorial prize.

Dr. Saffar’s practice is focused on providing comprehensive care for patients through establishing a rapport with them. He enjoys performing all aspects of dentistry with an emphasis on each patient’s individual circumstances. He has received extensive training in sedating anxious patients.

Dr. Saffar is a firm believer in the healthy mouth as part of a healthy body. He has completed an MSc degree at the University of Manitoba in immunology where he published several papers looking into the regulation of immunity. The human immune system constantly samples contents of a person’s mouth. Such interactions with the mouth environment have important consequences for the entire body.

Dr. Saffar is a movie enthusiast and likes trying new sports with a fun-oriented approach. He is an avid skier and regularly follows the NBA.
