Diane Thomas
Registered Dental Hygienist
Diane’s dream to be a dental hygienist started when she was in elementary school, and her passion for dental hygiene has continued to grow since then. She completed cooperative education while in high school and then worked in a local dental office, where she received further encouragement to pursue her career in the dental field.
Diane graduated with honours from the Dental Assisting Level I and II program at Fanshawe College in 2007, and attained her NDAEB and HARP certification. She also graduated with honours from the Dental Hygiene Program at Fanshawe College in 2011, and became registered with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario. She is a member of the Canadian Dental Hygienist’s Association (CDHA), and is also trained in First Aid and CPR through Red Cross.
Through her years of experience in the dental field, she has had the opportunity to work in multiple areas of the dental office, including the laboratory, chair-side dental assisting, and administration. Diane has made countless custom sports guards, night guards for teeth bruxism and TMJ, and whitening trays. She has worked with dental professionals during routine dental filling procedures, orthodontic procedures, including taking orthodontic records, and oral surgery with conscious sedation. Diane is able to use all this knowledge to help you receive the best possible dental care.
Her true passion remains to work with patients to improve and maintain their oral health through dental hygiene. Diane has experience with periodontal laser treatments and laser therapy to speed the healing of cold sores and canker sores. Diane enjoys working as a team to make each patient’s visit relaxing and comfortable. She is dedicated to providing quality care that is both personalized and meets the highest standards of dental practice.
Diane grew up in Cambridge, Ontario and continues to live here with her husband, where they hope to one day raise a family of their own. In Diane’s spare time, she enjoys dancing, swimming, and spending time at the cottage with family and friends.
